ABD CLUB EXPERIENCES

Heritage Is Something Children Should Experience

Some lessons are best learned by doing. Throughout the year, ABD Club creates opportunities for children to explore Yoruba heritage, serve their community, connect across generations and celebrate the culture together.

EXPLORE | SERVE | CONNECT | CELEBRATE

Four experiences. One year of meaningful connection.

OUR YEAR OF EXPERIENCES

Each quarter gives children a different way to experience their heritage beyond the classroom.

01

Discover Where Our Stories Live

Through museums, heritage spaces, cultural outings and guided discovery, children have opportunities to encounter Yoruba history and culture beyond books and screens.

Wisdom Across Generations

Through intergenerational experiences, children spend meaningful time with elders—listening to their stories, learning from their experiences, sharing songs and conversation, and finding simple ways to show care and appreciation.

CELEBRATE

Bring the Year Together

Our annual Yoruba celebration brings children, families and community together through language, performances, music, games, food and culture—giving children an opportunity to celebrate and share what they have learned throughout the year.

Where Yoruba Knowledge Meets Confidence, Challenge & Fun

Yoruba Gbayi gives children a fun way to put their Yoruba knowledge into action. Through questions, challenges and friendly competition, children listen, think, respond and show what they know—while building confidence using Yoruba.

There’s More to Heritage Than Learning About It.

Children need opportunities to experience it, share it and build memories around it. At ABD Club, those experiences become part of how they understand where they come from.
